The cold snap across Europe has claimed at least 24 lives in the past week. At least 9 people died in Poland over the past four days, 4 in France, 5 in Lithuania, 3 in Chechia, 2 in Romania and at least 1 in Italy. Cold and snow records were crushed over the past 4 days.
