Watching the Arctic Drop

Let’s talk about how cold the arctic is. We are currently 0.72 degrees below baseline. The arctic has not been THIS cold since the 2005 la nina, and it is doing it WITHOUT a la nina. The higher step at -0.5 claimed by AGW alarmists in the arctic departure database has been violated, which puts us back into the range of what has been normal since 1979 when records started. In fact, the only time we have come out of the range that the 1979-1981 volatility set was during the 2016 super enso event, which makes you wonder, perhaps that range just wasn’t large enough. We also have the northern hemisphere snow-mass still holding above the normal peak for the dead of winter. The downtrend since the 2016 super enso is still holding as we inch closer to the GSM.
