The First Snow of the Season Will Blanket Parts of the Northeast Beginning Thursday.
The system responsible for the snow will organize near southern New England on Thursday night. Moisture from this system will reach the Northeast as another blast of cold air moves into the East late this week.
- A system late this week will spread rain and snow into the Northeast.
- Accumulating snow is expected in the interior and higher elevations.
- Some cities will see the first measurable snow of the season.
- Rain is generally expected along the I-95 corridor, although some flakes could mix in with the rain.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Unsettled and rather cold. Rain clearing southeastwards on Friday, turning brighter. Frosty on Friday night, then further rain at the weekend with snow on northern hills.
